ESTATE SALES
Care More
Meet Tina Braddock
Meet Julie Garland
Seems I was born an entrepreneur. From a very young age I was the one orchestrating every lemonade sale, haunted house at Halloween, yard sales and anything else that needed planning. Married at a young age, the trend has continued through my life. I’ve done a variety of things, and though I never attended college, most people would say I graduated the school of life. I was in the food and event planning business for years and have been a real estate agent for more than 8 years. I’ve cleaned, organized, cooked and decorated for friends and clients since I was a young girl. Helping out is my passion and I have a knack for organizing, and simplifying. Given a task, I always work my hardest to exceed the expectation. I’ve always had a soft spot for the elderly. God willing, we will all end up children wrapped in wrinkles. Aging can be cruel, but no matter what the circumstance, the elderly deserve to be treated with the utmost kindness and respect. As each year passes, I realize I’m nearing that golden age myself, way too quickly. Estate sales are so much more than the sale of stuff. It can free a loved one to downsize, make the transition easier to move into an assisted living facility, and be a blessing when an elder passes. Families often end up on opposite sides of the US, and some even relocate outside the country. An estate sale done by a caring company takes the pressure off the adult child that can’t take time off work, or leave their own families to come and rummage through a lifetime of their parents belongings. Tina and I worked together for over a decade. Fate has landed us both in Silver Lakes. We have a mutual respect and friendship that is envied and admired by many on both a personal and business level. It seemed natural that we take up where we left off; building a business doing something we love. We know what it takes to get the job done. We each have our skills and strengths and together we deliver! We are local, we are involved in our community, and we are here to offer you and your loved ones the best service in the high desert.
Working my way through college in restaurants I found myself in the service industry for over 35 years. Raising a blended family of 4 boys while working I’ve worn many hats. I’ve been a single mom and am also a mom, step-mom, and adopted mom so I have many perspectives from different sides. The kids were all active in several sports and that kept the schedule crazy! I tallied up well over a dozen years on boards from PTA to High School Basketball Booster Clubs and spent several years running one of the larger city-wide basketball programs. The last 20 years of my restaurant work was running the food and beverage and banquet facility at a busy Orange County Golf Course. Being there and getting to know my customers (many of who were older), I heard of and saw many things that affect the aging population and saw many needs that were not being met. I also found that many people didn’t have family members to help out. As my contract at the golf course got nearer to the end of its 20 years I began thinking about what I would do next. My mother and mother in law were both single women who were going to need to be near family soon. It seemed like everything was pointing to helping with the aging in some way. Around this time I saw a large article in the paper about people starting their second careers. There was an article about a woman becoming a fiduciary that connected with all my skills. A lot of financial accountability answered my love of numbers and exact accounting and protecting the rights of people and being an advocate for those in need answered my desire to help others. Over the past 8 years my husband and I have worked on the process of moving both moms and more recently ourselves to the high desert so we could be close to them. Also in the high desert I was able to re-connect with Julie, who worked for me for over 12 years as my banquet manager at the golf course. With her real estate background and our shared love of redecorating and staging homes mixed with my fiduciary skills we found that doing estate sales would offer our clients a full list of services that they may need in addition to just doing an estate sale. In the short 2 years I have lived here full time I have become immersed in this community and have joined and serve on several clubs and causes. I hope to be able to help many families of people living in the high desert area with compassion and integrity.
